Getting cancer is like experiencing a death. When you share the news, people gather around, they call, they care. But as time passes, they drift away. They might reappear occasionally, as if leaving flowers on a grave—brief visits, empty gestures.
Over the years, you remain in their memories, but no one truly comes back, much like how we rarely visit the resting places of those we’ve buried. One way or another, cancer feels like a form of dying.
